Wounds x Possibilities is a design-centered project that reimagines scars as sources of meaning, memory, and potential. Through visual storytelling and product design, the project features a pocket diary for scar stories, body-worn accessories and installations inspired by real-life scar narratives, and an online archive platform recording the scar stories. Blending aesthetics with care, this project invites users to see scars not as flaws, but as openings for connection, creativity, and transformation.
The beauty of a scar lies in the fact that every time we see it, we—and those around us—remember a story. Because we keep recalling and talking about it, the story associated with it continues to live on. The scar has not disappeared or faded; it remains on our bodies and grows with us, slowly, for the rest of our lives.
